Girl Time (Kirby)

Sasha was clearing an empty space on her floor so Kirby had enough room to lay out her things. The two friends seemed to be in a slump lately so Sasha figured they needed some girl time. Who knows maybe they could even try to help get each other through this tough time, of whatever they are going through.

Sasha was stuffing some stuff in her closet when she heard a knock on her bedroom door. “Who is it?” Sasha asked not wanting to talk to anyone but her friend

“Darius. I have you guest!” Darius replied through the door with Kirby next to him

“She can come in, you can leave!” Sasha shot. Darius left Kirby’s side and walked back downstairs.

Sasha smiled when she saw her friend enter the room “Hey Kirby”

Kirby forced a small crooked smile as she walked in with a bit of a limp, "Hi, Sasha."

"I'm glad you could make it" she replied "You could put your stuff over in that area, the only clean area in my room. Sorry about the mess"

"It's fine, I haven't seen the floor in my room since the day I moved in." She chuckled as she placed her stuff on the floor

"I'm usually a bit of a neat freak, but as of late I just stopped caring" she chuckled

"I've been meaning to clean my room as well, but I'm lazy and busy with dance." she shrugged

"How is dance going by the way, couldn't help but notice your limp"

"It's going pretty well, I think I broke two of my toes, but I'm not telling anyone until after the competition."

"Ouch, doesn't dance stand on their toes?" she asked "How are you gonna hide that?"

"They're just stress fractures, they hurt like hell though. I've been through it before. I've always been taught to hide my pain with a smile."

"When is your competition?"

"Wednesday. I've just got to hold out until then."

"Your secret is safe with me" Sasha replied

"Thanks." she smiled lightly, "So, what's up with you?"

"Well, since we are on the performing arts subject I just received news I was replaced in our school's version of Grease" she sarcastically replied "Awesome right. But can't say I wasn't expecting it"

"Wow, that's awful." Kirby said, "What happened?"

"I don't know if you noticed but I haven't been in school for like a month" she replied

"Well, I have noticed. I'm just not very nosy."

"Well, yeah I've been skipping school for the past month and despite working my ass of all year up until now I got a probation letter in the mail today from the school" she replied "If I don't pass my finals my ass will end up in summer school" she scoffed

"Yikes, that's quite a worrying position to be in. Must be a lot of pressure. All you can do is study hard and prepare. Why did you skip so many days? If you don't mind me asking, of course."

"It's not that worrying, because you have to care to worry." she replied "And just a lot of family stuff been getting to me lately and I'm not really handling it all that well"

"Aww, I'm sorry." She said, "If you want, you can have my twin brother." she joked, trying to lighten the mood a bit

"I have enough brothers running around here" Sasha chuckled "But, my grandmother past away, though my step mom is great but she was like a real mom to me and Darius. It was like my mom dying all over again"

"I'm sorry." She gave her a hug, "I know the feeling and it's always rough."

"You know the feeling?"
