"You act like this is just my kid, your responsible for it too. It's just as much your responsibility as it is mine."

"And I'm doing what I have to do!"

"Which is what?" She asked, "I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to be doing."

Drew rolled his eyes "That's your problem. Figure it out!" he argued

She rolled her eyes, "Whatever, you're not helping."

"You are grown, act like it! Shit isn't always going to be handed to you, work for it!"

"I'm not stupid, I know that I have to work for what I want. But the problem is, I don't know what I want."

"Right now, it's not about you. It's about our kid. Consider your dreams officially on hold, because right now you have to take what you can get"

"You're telling me what I already know! It's hard to get through my head that I'm going to be responsible for someone other than myself." she said, "And I know it's not going to be easy."

"You're the one that's acting clueless" he said "My question is, when and where do you plan on starting?"

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Plan on starting for what?" She asked

"Building a future for the damn kid!" he said "You've been living at my house for over a month now, and have you found a job yet? No."

"I am working on it, God damn it! It's not that easy to find a job! I could just as well leave your ass because the only reason you're with me and tolerating me is because I'm pregnant with your fucking child!"

"My entire family has been telling you about offers and I haven't seen your ass go after one. and I'm not chasing you! If you want to leave. Go. I'm the only means of support the kid has financially so that will be your selfish doing, and I guarantee you the biggest mistake you'll make"

"I have a job interview tomorrow." She said, swallowing hard trying to fight back tears.

"For?"

"A receptionist at a dance studio."

"How much will you get paid?"

"Like, 100 a week."

"Well, it's a start I guess"

She nodded, "Yeah.."

"Still want to leave me?"

"No." She said softly

"Then why do you always take it there?"

"It's my defense mechanism."
