Katie giggled, "Don't worry, I'm gonna kick some ass next season."

"I hope so, I'll be rooting for you"

Katie smiled, "Thanks."

"So why weren't you at Chelsea and Hanna Beth's party last weekend?"

"I didnt know they had a party." Katie said.

"They go to your school, I thought you would've heard about it"

"I know they do, but I didn't hear."

"Clean your ears, where's your head these days?"

"In the dirt." She joked. "I'm not even friends with them."

"That never stopped us in the past"

"I know. So how was it?"

"It was fun!" he nodded

"That's cool, you good friends with Hanna and Chelsea?"

"Duh, damn how long have you been away from me?" he chuckled but soon thought about what he said

"It's been a while."

"Yeah, I guess so. Which why I'm surprised you answered my call"

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay. It's is five in the morning."

"Didn't know you still cared"

"I'll always care." Katie said with a smile.

"I know that now, but I didn't before. Which is why I've been so distant from you" he admitted

She nodded, "Well now you know. I'm not one to hold bridges and stuff like that."

"It's not! We were literally together every single day for the past thirteen years and recently I spent so much time thinking we were enemies, that I missed out on that last couple of months of your life. That's not cool"
