Don't be Mad

Darius didn’t exactly go with his family out of town. He kind of ran off. He hates dealing with these kind of situations so he does what he does best… RUN! In the mist of everything that was going on with his family he sort of blew off Taylor’s birthday. That was his girl... or at least he wanted her to be and it took him awhile to realize that a Happy Birthday on the social site wasn’t enough, she deserved better. He walked up to her doorstep.. and knocked on the door prepared for any reaction he was bound to get from her..

Taylor walked up to the door answering it, her jaw dropping at the boy in front of her. Taylor's face dropped and folded her arms across her chest, "Who are you?" She said, annoyance and anger, with a bit on happiness written on her face.

Darius sighed "I deserve that" he said leaning in the door frame

"You sure do." She said, eyeing him with a small pout.

"I'm sorry, I've been so distant lately! And I'm sorry I blew off your birthday" he said

Taylor shrugged and stared down at her feet, "It's fine..."

"Don't you think I know you by now?"

"Yeah..." She sighed as she continued to shuffle her feet.

"I know it's not okay that I just bailed on you... I should treat my girlfriend...better!

Taylor's eyes shot up in shock, looking to stare at Darius. She blinked a couple times as her jaw dropped for one moment, "Y-your girlfriend?"

"Well.. Oh... yeah! At least that's what I want you to be"

Taylor nodded happily, "Well that's what I want to be."

"Glad we're on the same page" he smiled a bit "Just trust me when I say I wouldn't have bailed on you if I didn't have a good reason"

She smiled back, "Well what happened?" She said, now worried.

"I'll tell you later.. right now just come with me" he said holding out his hand

Taylor looked down at his hand before taking it, "Okay." She said, slightly confused.

"So what did you do?" he asked as they walked down the sidewalk

"Nothing, bored out of my mind without you." She shrugged, "I hung out with Andrea and Katie a couple times but that it. Everything was pretty bland around here. But what about you? Why were you gone for so long?"

Darius sighed "Family stuff" he vaguely answered

Taylor frowned, "Aw...wanna talk about it?" She asked, giving his hand a small squeeze.

"Do we have to?"

"We don't have to, but maybe it'll make things better."

"I had a lose in my family" he said

Taylor frowned, "I'm so sorry Darius..." She said, now feeling bad about being mad earlier.

"Yeah whatever it's fine" he shrugged it off
