Pushing The Limit (Anyone)

He wasn’t going to let a health issue get him down. He doesn’t even like the sport but he was stubborn he hated feeling as though he had no options in life. He wasn’t going to let his heart condition overtake him, and if that meant pushing it to the limit or ‘overdoing’ it to prove a point then so be it. It was early that morning and Zayn was running around the neighborhood. Turning the corner he felt a little faint but he pushed himself… maybe a little too hard. Zayn stopped and kneeled to the ground clutching the left side of his chest. He tried to quickly catch his breath when he saw the feet of someone standing in front of him….

Harry stared down at Zayn, worry filled in his eyes. "Hey man, you okay?"

"Just give me a second"

"Or a hundred seconds." He muttered. " you need some help?"

"No" he stubbornly answered "I'm fine"

Harry shook his head, "You're lying, but fine."

Zayn was able to get back on his feet "What's up?" he said still a bit faint as he leaned on the fence

"Alright..." He said, eying Zayn in concern. "How about you?"

"Just training for the upcoming season, you know"

"I can see that..how long have you been running?"

"Not long, at all actually" he shook his head

Harry didn't believe him, but he didn't dare try to question him. "As long as you're sure. Need a buddy? I need to catch up on jogging as well.!

"That's probably best" Zayn nodded
